Festival - About
Australia's largest touring cultural event!!! In the Bin Film Festival is a platform for professional and developing filmmakers to showcase their skills and expand their careers. In The Bin Film Festival is a festival created by Film Makers to support Film Makers, all films which tour as part of In The Bin are paid screening fee's per location. In The Bin prides itself on touring to locations other festival don't offering wider audiences the opportunity to experience this unique source of entertainment.
All of In The Bin's festival programs are careful planned ensuring the audience gets the opportunity to experience a mix of both challenging and entertaining cinema. In The Bin ensures its festivals are never diluted to accommodate the stereotype commonly placed on regional Australia, as a result In The Bin is the only touring film festival to see a continual growth in audience attendance.
The quality of In The Bin is reflected in the standard of films toured, over the years we have seen many Academy Awarded and nominated films screening in our program. The latest being Luke Doolan and Drew Bailey’s film “Miracle Fish”. Film Makers appreciated that not only do we pay screening fees per location but we also refuse to tie film makers to exclusive contracts which frees them to continue promoting their films in other festivals.
Over time the festival has seen exponential growth traveling with In The Bin Education Program to over 60 communities each year. No community is too big or too small and no distance is too great for In The Bin to travel.
