In The Bin has designed an educational program aimed at offering hands on experience for budding film makers. The Education Program runs for the duration of three days, with the participants completing the workshops with their own short films or documentaries. In The Bin bases itself in your community for the three day workshop, offering professional experience, and technology.
The First Component: of the program is research and development. This section is where students experience short films on screen. Learn how to work as teams and create their own concept and storyline.
The Second Component: The film makers, with the assistance of In The Bin, will be supplied 3CCD camera’s and Avid HP editing systems to learn and produce their short film. The films must be relevant to their community and represent the style of the community.
The Third Component: is combined into the night of In The Bin Short Film Festival where the films made by the film makers will be screened as part of In The Bin in that community.
The workshops are capable of holding 12 – 22 participants comfortably, we are able to accommodate for up to 28 persons. There is no minimum number. The workshops can work with age groups from 14 upwards.
If you are a school or organization which is interested in having In The Bin Educational Program in your community please contact info@inthebin.net.au The films that were made in the Education Program are fantastic!
From Zombie-Ninja films and Spaghetti Western Broomsticks, to social conscious films tackling not only issues relevant to their own communities but also global issues, it proves that regional communities have an amazing depth of creativity. A selection of the best students films from the 2004 – 2005 In The Bin Education Program in QLD, NSW, SA, and Vic, will be screened as part of the weeklong activities for In The Bin Currumbin Festival in September.
In The Bin Education Program also holds special programs for communities wishing to create professional feature films and documentaries on their communities or on issues relevant to their community. Projects are made in specially designed programs and are shot on Broadcast quality High Definition Camera's. To find out more about the workshops contact info@inthebin.net.au
