Company:  New Zealand Film Commission Story: Each day a young man rows to work across the harbour to escape the noise and mayhem of rush hour traffic.  His routine is matched by a Fishing Girl who is always on the wharf when he arrives, and who always exchanges smiles with him.  Each of them, shy and held in their daily routine, never exchange more than a small greeting.  Their harmonious relationship is reflected in their respective musical themes.

A selection of films the whole family can enjoy, with comedies, drama’s and of course animation.

2. Title:  Drained Dir:  Gavin Stevenson Category:  Animation Duration:  3.32 secs Prod. Company:  _ Story:  Like many Australians, Jack wastes too much water and gives little thought to the consequences.  One night he is kidnapped by an angry trout who is determined to teach Jack, and all water waters, a lesson.
3. Title:  Tommy The Kid Dir:  Stuart Clegg Category:  Fiction Duration: 12 minutes Prod. Company:  SCPT Story:   When Tom’s pushbike is stolen by a local junkstore owner, Rob, he feels powerless to do anything about it. But an encounter with Rob’s dog gives Tom an idea. Will hiding the pooch help Tom reclaim his bike?

Company:   Impulse Creative Productions Story:  Josephine Maxwell entertains herself, she finds no need for playmates and satisfies her spare time with barbies and books.  One morning she awakes to find her fascination with life’s little pleasures is gone, she’s bored.
5. Title: The Bushman of Bunyip Billabong Dir: Michael Richards and Cameron Edser Category: Animation Duration: 3 minutes Prod. Company: Guru Animations Story: The bushman of bunyip billabong tells the tale of a careless swagman, who learns his lesson for disrespecting the environment. The film portrays Australia distinct outback environment and characters using stop-motion animation.
6. Title:  Brown Trash Dir:   Tresa Ponnor Category:  Fiction Duration:  6.57 secs Prod. Company:  _ Story:  Dealing with issues of ethnicity and family, “Brown Trash” follows the hectic preparations of Asha for her high school formal, as she attempts to suppress her Indian heritage.
7. Title: The Star and The Old Man Dir:  Andres Gomex-Isaza Category:  Animation Duration: 2.25minutes Prod. Company:  Story:  An old man is looking at a star, with difficulty he tries to rech it. He jumps and finds himself falling from the Earth into space. He gets close to the star and when he touches it the fire of the star consumes him transforming him into a star.
8. Title: True Blue Hero Dir: John Evagora Category: Comedy Duration: 3:40min Prod. Company: Story: A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far, away… real films were about real people.
9. Title: Crooked Mick of the Speewah Dir: Philip Smith Category: Fiction Duration: 10.40 Prod. Company: AFTRS Story: Strong Arm Sam and his promoter Gus are down on their luck. Tied of hearing about how much stronger “Crooked Mick of the Speewah” is, the two friends decide to locate The Speewah and challenge Crooked Mick!
School Shorts Program 2006 School shorts offers audiences an insightful experience into the students that take part in the In The Bin Education Program. From Winton to Roxby Downs Batlow to Charters Towers this is an interesting mix of films all made by first time film makers in a three day period. In The Bin conducted over 30 Education Programs throughout Australia and we are set to increase that number even more next year.

In The Bin Board Shorts Wed
The second half of In The Bin with an electric mix of cinema some edgy others adventurous, but all entertaining. Mixed in to spice up the program is a selection of Board Shorts films.

This is an adult’s festival there is course language, low level violence, and adult theme’s.

Title: The Brink Dir: Jeff Billman & Ross Ioppolo Category: Comedy Duration: 8min Story A man obsessed with home security backfires on him when he get locked in the toilet, allowing his dog and a burglar to roam free in his previously off limits sanctuary.
2. Title: Willetton UFO Conspiracy Theory  Dir: Ethan Marrell Category: Documentary Duration: 5min Story: A story about the disappearance of a popular landmark in Perth. Many believe this landmark was a UFO. The truth is still yet to be reviled.…….
3. Title: Pop’s Dream Dir: Beonwyn Purvis Category: Drama Duration: 8min Story: Rosie may only be six years old, but her compassion and resourceful imagination are enough to help a lonely old man see beauty around him once again.

10. Title: Slain, when Fiction Becomes Reality. Dir Matt Hardman, Bert Hardman Category: Board Shorts Duration: 8mins Story: A short film that profiles the four main eliments that are SLAIN, Matt-moto Bert-inline, Tom-skate, and Ben-BMX with random antics and rocking music.
11. Title: The Haircut Dir: Carlo c. Ledesma Category: Comedy Duration 6min Story: A mundane barber shop, transforms into a wild day of entertainment when a customer asks for something impossible.
