ATTENTION ALL FILM MAKERS AND BUDDING SCRIPT WRITERS!

Expressions of interest are now being sought for the ‘In the Bin’ Short Film Festival, Currumbin Parklands 13th-20th September 2008.

Australia wide the call is out for film makers alike to submit a short film to the upcoming ‘In the Bin’ short film festival. The chosen films will be shown on two large outdoor screens in a truly unique location, Currumbin Parklands, Gold Coast Queensland. Selected films will have the opportunity to partake in the national tour, visiting numerous locations across Australia.

“Predominantly the films should have a good story, or a smart idea, they don’t necessarily have to be comedies or dramas just creative. Sound is also important as it is an outdoor event” said Festival Director Jed Cahill.

Categories include: best short film, board shorts extreme sports, animated and family orientated short film.

Jed says, “In the Bin is a great platform for film makers to gain exposure in the highest end of Short Film Festivals, chosen films are screened not just in Currumbin but also shown on the national tour, exposing the film to over 70 communities around Australia.”

Festival director Jed Cahill knows what Australian films and film making is all about from the ground up, as an avid movie maker himself. Jed understands the need for creative expression. The result is the truly inspiring ‘In the Bin’ short film festival, educational and national tour, Australia wide.

The festival is one of Australia’s most prestigious short film events with the added bonus of paying screening fees for selected films; including each location they are shown.

Film makers apply by downloading application forms from www.inthebin.net.au, applications along with DVD to be received by the 30th July 2008.
